I also have extensive experience working with individuals with chronic pain and spinal cord injuries, as well as individuals with intellectual and developmental disabilities.
In addition to my work with adults, I also enjoy helping young children (4-10 years), and their caregivers, with anxiety (e.g., separation, social, generalized, phobias, school refusal), Obsessive Compulsive Disorder (OCD), behavioural difficulties (e.g., Autism Spectrum Disorder - level 1/Asperger's Syndrome) and parenting concerns.

Often, we get “stuck” in a pattern of thinking, feeling and reacting. Things start to take on a script, in terms of how we see ourselves, other people and the world. Together, we will find a way to make things more effective for you and rewrite that script. We will find the strengths you possess and foster them, while exploring your challenges to develop lasting solutions.I have substantial experience working from within a trauma-informed approach, addressing both historical and acute trauma experiences, as well as a large variety of other personal struggles, symptoms and mental health concerns. My areas of interest and experience include stress, adjustment, self-destructive behaviours, dysregulation, self-esteem, and interpersonal dynamics, as well as the impact of mood and anxiety disorders on daily living.I understand the importance of building rapport and work to provide care with genuine positive regard and authenticity. Using a variety of approaches including Cognitive Behavioural Therapy (CBT), Motivational Interviewing, Cognitive Processing Therapy (CPT), Mindfulness (e.g., Acceptance and Commitment Therapy (ACT), Eye Movement Desensitization and Reprocessing (EMDR) Therapy, and Interpersonal Psychotherapy, we will work together to develop a plan that fits you, as an individual, to bring you relief, increased feelings of effectiveness and improved quality of life.I obtained my Bachelor of Arts – Honours degree in Psychology from the University of Manitoba in 2004 and my Master’s degree in Clinical Psychology from the University of Windsor in 2006.
