Debbie Baty is a Registered Social Worker, with a Master of Education degree (Counselling). I have over twenty-five years of experience in a variety of areas, such as school, adoption, and child welfare systems. In addition, I have extensive experience treating stress and anxiety, depression, trauma, parenting issues, separation and loss issues, and behaviour and emotional regulation difficulties. I utilize a client-centered and collaborative approach in order to achieve positive results for my clients.
In empowering individuals, children, and families to reach greater self-awareness, I use various approaches, including Cognitive Behavior Therapy (CBT), Eye Movement Desensitization and Reprocessing (EMDR) Therapy, Mindfulness and the use of play. My genuine, empathic, and open nature sets people at ease. Within this safe space children, adolescents and adults become comfortable to explore issues and begin their journey of healing. My goal: empowered clients leading healthy lives.
