A general goal I have as a psychotherapist is customizing my approach to the unique personality, needs and concerns of my clients. I provide therapy for a variety of issues including depression, anxiety, trauma, loss, death anxiety, stress management, life transitions, and relationship difficulties. My therapeutic approach integrates client-centered, existential, and psychodynamic psychotherapies. In addition, I have been trained in and use a variety of other approaches including Cognitive Behavioural Therapy (CBT), Acceptance and Commitment Therapy (ACT), Eye Movement Desensitization and Reprocessing Therapy (EMDR) and mindfulness.
I earned my Ph.D. in Clinical Psychology from the University of Manitoba after completing my residency at the Student Wellness and Counselling Centre at Memorial University in St. John’s, Newfoundland and Labrador. I have been providing psychological services in various capacities in both the public and private sectors for over ten years.
